Older adults are more likely to face certain obstacles in Georgian society, including loneliness. Due to mass urbanization, many family members move away from home for education or economic opportunities, leaving their older family members behind. This means that older persons are left without necessary assistance to help them care for themselves, perform everyday household chores and duties, and maintain a high quality of life.
The “House of Support” was first launched in the summer of 2021, operating in the Dmanisi and Gori municipalities. It was officially established on August 8, 2023, by the IDP Women Association "Consent" (Georgia) and Hilfswerk International (Austria).
The House of Support provides high quality homecare for adults 60 years and older. Mobile Care teams consisting of trained homecare professionals provide specialized care for older persons in Gori and Dmanisi.

Our project is dedicated to providing essential services to the older persons, ensuring their rights are upheld and implemented. By doing so, we aim to promote their well-being and guarantee a dignified old age.
