Our story began many years ago. While working directly with the community, we recognized that the journey toward dignified ageing encountered numerous obstacles. It was during this time that we defined our primary goal: to ensure the independent and fulfilling old age of our citizens.
Both Georgia and Bosnia-Herzegovina are experiencing rapidly ageing populations. This trend is occurring against the backdrop of the decline of the multi-generational family model and the migration of young people from their hometowns and villages. Current state programs are insufficient to meet the needs of the older persons and are not tailored to their interests.
The goal of our program is to promote access to homecare services for the older persons in Georgia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, while contributing to the development of an inclusive social policy framework, which will aim to improve the situation of the older persons in society and ensure the realization of their rights.
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the older generation by strengthening their mental and physical health. Through professional approaches and the best international practices, we aim to enhance the bio-psycho-social well-being of older persons in Georgia.
In the summer of 2021, the House of Support were established in the municipalities of Dmanisi and Gori, providing homecare services to the older persons.
Mobile care teams, composed of professional specialists, provide care to older individuals tailored to their individual needs.
The House of Support brings together experienced specialists who, guided by international best practices, provide care for the older persons and promote awareness of dignified ageing in the country.
